Q. Where do I go for my appointment?
A. Our office is located in Reed 1, which is on the ground floor of the Reed Union Building.

Q. What can my adviser help me to do?
A. In DUS, we can help you explore different majors, plan a schedule for next semester, interpret a degree audit, drop and add courses, and refer you to appropriate offices.

Q. I have no idea what I want to do with my life. Who can help me?
A. We can! Choosing a major and choosing a career cannot be separated from each other. DUS advisers can help you look at your interests, abilities, and values in order to determine what careers (and majors) suite you best. Simply set up an appointment with one of us to get started.

Q. How long can I stay in DUS?
A. You can remain in DUS for two full time semesters (12 credits or more) beyond your first year.

Q. How can I go to University Park?
A. Except for a limited number of cases, students CANNOT do a Change of Assignment to UP before their 5th semester. Even then, many majors have Entrance to Major requirements that must be met in order to go to UP. If you are thinking of a major that would require you to eventually go to UP, make sure you meet with an adviser ASAP to discuss if there are GPA or course requirements.
