    For eight years, George Looney served as Editor-in-Chief of Mid-American Review, a journal he still serves as Translation Editor.  He taught in the BFA and MFA programs at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio for eleven years before coming to Penn State Erie.  For the last several years of his time at Bowling Green, he was in charge of the BFA program, and was advisor to the BFA students.  He is currently working on several collections of poetry in various stages of preparedness, a novel, and on a collection of fiction. He directs the creative writing program at Penn State Erie, which he designed, and is co-founder and co-director of The Chautauqua Writers’ Festival.
