David Vegh made his big screen debut appearing opposite Tom Hanks in the Steven Spielberg film Saving Private Ryan. He has made guest appearances on numerous episodes of television, including Dexter, House M.D., Grey’s Anatomy, Chicago Hope, Mad About You, The Pretender, and Picket Fences. The list of award-winning actors he has worked with includes Martin Landau, Helen Hunt, Hugh Laurie, Jon Hamm, and the late Brittany Murphy.

On stage, he appeared as Louis in Sideways Stories from Wayside School at the Tony Award-winning South Coast Repertory Theatre. Most recently, he was a company member for four years with California Repertory, where his credits included Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, Festen, Current Nobody, Waiting for Lefty, and The Kentucky Cycle (Backstage West Garland Critics List for Best Performance). He trained and performed with the Chautauqua Theatre Company and was an instructor in their Youth Conservatory.

He holds an M.F.A. in Acting and Directing from California State University, Long Beach, where in addition to teaching courses in acting and playwriting, he co-produced the annual New Play Festival of original student-written and directed work. His community work includes an advisory role with the Long Beach non-profit organization Trade & Row, helping young writers develop a series of short plays designed to bring awareness to violence in teen relationships.
