There are three categories of nomination: ATHLETE, COACH and/or ADMINISTRATOR, and HONORARY.

ATHLETE: an athlete must have left Penn State Behrend a minimum of ten years prior to nomination.

COACH/ADMINISTRATOR: a coach/administrator must have retired or left the college prior to selection.

HONORARY: an honorary candidate must have made a significant impact on Behrend Lions athletics, and/or made a significant impact in regional, state, national professional or international levels of athletics.
